Garment & Battery Care
Machine-washable heated gear and long-life batteries — here's how to keep everything performing like day one.
Before You Wash
Many ActionHeat items are machine washable — including jackets, vests, base layers, hats, and balaclavas — though we recommend hand spot-cleaning whenever possible for the safety of every garment. Read the product manual before washing.
Never wash your batteries. We do not recommend machine washing heated gloves. ActionHeat socks can be machine washed in the provided mesh wash bag.
Machine Washing — Step by Step
Prep the garment
Remove the battery, place all wires in the pockets, and fasten every zipper. Wash separately from other clothing — socks go in the provided mesh wash bag.
Machine wash cold, gentle
Use mild detergent only — no fabric softeners. Machine wash with cold water on the gentle cycle.
Lay flat to dry
Never put heated gear in the dryer, iron it, or dry clean it. Lay flat to dry completely before reconnecting the battery.
Battery Usage
Get the most heat and the longest life
Match your power pack to your product
Only use a power pack with an ActionHeat product whose amp draw is less than the pack's maximum output rating. For example, a power pack rated at 2 amps maximum should not be used with heated products that draw more than 2 amps — check your product's amp draw before connecting. Failure to do so can overheat the battery and cause damage.
Which heat setting should I use?
The 50% power setting is sufficient for temperatures between 50–64°F. Below 50°F, use the 75% or 100% settings. We don't recommend running 100% for extended periods — it can cause overheating or bodily discomfort.
Battery Storage
Protect your 500+ charge cycles
Store with at least 25% charge
Maintain at least 25% battery power when not in use — letting the battery fully drain in storage causes performance problems and reduced battery life.
Disconnect when not in use
Unplug the power bank from the garment when you're not using it — even switched off, the garment slowly drains the power bank. Treat the battery like a cell phone battery: with proper care and storage it will deliver a full lifespan of 500+ charge cycles.

Important safety information
Use carefully — do not use while sleeping or unconscious. Unattended use of electrically heated products on children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous. Battery heated products may cause burns or discomfort; consult a physician before use on sensitive skin or with any medical condition affecting circulation or skin sensitivity. If you experience discomfort or overheating, immediately remove the product and unplug all wires and power packs.
Do not attempt to disassemble or alter the power bank or any part of the product. Do not store below -4°F or above 120°F. Do not allow batteries or power banks to contact water or other liquids — if liquid enters the power bank, unplug immediately, as continued use of a damaged product may result in fire or electrical shock. Do not place near a heat source or expose batteries to direct flame or heat. Recycle batteries in accordance with local regulations.
